And You Thought Glamour Metal Was Dead?! The Devil is a Friend of Mine by Venomous Rose NEW DEBUT AND REVIEW

The Devil is a Friend of Mine by Venomous Rose

When Sam Fuller, the Bassist for Venomous Rose hit me up with their new debut "The Devil is a Friend of Mine", my first thought was "Running With the Devil" by Van Halen and my pre-destined thought were correct. These guys bring Hair Metal back and they do it perfectly with this debut.

If you thought Hair/Glamour Metal was dead then think again. The lyrics to this song just take me back to my first concert my old man took me to when I was twelve, Ozzfest. The word flow is pristine. An amazing mixture of strong and simple words. They easily get their message across to the listener. What I pulled from these lyrics; Everyone has the devil to deal with in their lives in some shape or form so might as well embrace it, make friends with him/her, and roll n' roll with it. Take it to the max. Let your devil side come out and party on Garth.

Between the sick guitar solos, epic notes from the vocals, heavy and earthy bass, and the drums keeping the pulse, all I can do is see myself in a mosh pit throughout this whole song. I hope someday to see these guys live and make that happen. They are definitely a Year 2021 Twisted Sister. They brought sexy back from the 80's! The Lyric Video you can play below is a "South Park" style, a simple but creative future masterpiece in its works. The Devil is the cutest evil thing I've seen since binge-watching asshole cats attack owners just for petting them. Either way, I want to cuddle with both.

These guys overall rocked my socks off. Hell, if I was wearing underwear right now, probably those too. I will definitely give these guys a well-deserved 4.5/5 on my charts. You can view that below. Thank you, Sam Fuller and Venemous Rose for showing me that Hair Metal is not dead and keep on rocking. Most reviewed songs can be found on my Spotify Playlist found here. Song Review: NEW RELEASE; ☆Significance by Emerald Aquarium

How I Found My New Friend Mad Max:

So there I was, posting in a Facebook group, asking if somebody would like me to do a song review. Sure enough Maximus Mayhew sends me a message and his new release.  Like any self titled, decent blogger doing a review I wanted a little bit of a background of Mr. Mayhew and his musical influences, his personal style, and try to get into his skin for a minute. Holy shit, was that a mistake!! LMFAO, I'm actually just kidding....kinda. We will get to his new release in a minute.

Crazy Style Gets Crazy Reviews:

I'd like to start by saying happy early birthday new friend (March 14) and I will now refer to you as Mad Max. Mad Max has been influenced by bands like Blink-182 and Sum 41 and you can hear it in songs such as Fruit Salad. Yes, it's exactly how it sounds. But then he states he is a little bit of everything including rap-core. By God he wasn't kidding. My description of Mad Maxs style would have to be this: Hollywood Undead had a baby with Bowling For Soup but was raised by the two uncles who refuse to come out of the closet but the whole family knows and doesn't care, but go by the names Tenacious D and Body Count. It may sound like a turn off to some but I'm telling you I LOVE IT! Check out Letz Get Crunk and tell me wrong.

REVIEW:

Now, Mad Maxs stage name, Emerald Aquarium released a new single February 5, 2021 by the name Significance. This acoustic, soft but hurried melody had me from the beginning. I immediately felt like I was on some epic quest trying to find an artifact of some sort.  After listening over and over this feeling never went away. My personal opinion, it was just that. A quest to find myself again. It tells a beautiful story of confusion, loneliness,  jealousy, and misunderstanding of one's self. I know every song means something else to everybody but I'm positive we all can get close. It has straight to the point lyrics, but still leaves you questioning yourself. With light taps and fast strums this song can find a place in everybody's hearts and leave you trying to work yourself through a situation like this: Am I having regrets because I left her? Did she leave me and I'm jealous of her 1relationship now? Am I only missing the feeling of having somebody, a partner, someone to be there? If I am over this than what truly is the significance of these feelings?

CONCLUSION:

I've got to be honest with Mad Maxs self produced Emerald Aquarium- Significance. This new release of his was phenomenal. Emerald Aquarium where their feelings on their sleeves and wears those sleeves with confidence.  This is my conclusion of 1-5, 1 being worst, 5 best:

This is a 4.1429/5. A well deserved personal score. I wish it meant more because this guy has talent. Don't forget to check out the song on my Spotify and show him some love at the following links. Don't forget to hit those shares, follows, tweets, and whatever else you got. Leave your opinions in the comments and send me a message in our contact page or Facebook messenger if you'd like a guest blog, song/album review, or your story told.

Damien Gunn Band: NEW Music Video- "Angel"; Real Midwest Country Rock Stars from the Greater Kansas City Area

Damien Gunn Band is a country rock, All-American, Veteran Supporting, hick-town showdown, Greater Kansas City Area star that has earned a place in my heart. Being a struggling Veteran myself, it hits home knowing they have raised over $50,000.00 by doing this thing called OPERATION: FILL THE BOOT and have raised money for countless Veteran Organizations. I personally cannot wait to see these guys live in the very near future. I listen to "American Made" and you can listen to it here on my YouTube Music Channel.

"You want something country, we got it. You want something rocking, we got it. We are the package.", says Damien Gunn, singer/songwriter and bassist from the band. "My commitment is not only entertaining the crowd, it's also to draw the crowd into the music we perform, and making them be a part of something that is, hopefully epic and memorable.". Damien Gunn also adds, "Love what I do, and you can tell that with every performance!".

Released today, 12/Feb/2021, is a new music video on the birthday of his Mother. RIP and whoever your higher power may be, send prayers.

Watch the video below, it will bring you to tears. We all need that guardian angel watching over us at sometime or another. I know i had a guardian on both my deployments in Afghanistan and during all the dumb things I've done to try to get that adrenaline rush back. This song has amazing vocals, smooth transitions, and puts a feeling in my heart that made me shoot a text to my mother for being one of the only ones here during these troubled times.
